Dr. Belissa Ramos Chaves is a caring and dedicated lung and critical care doctor proudly serving patients in the Sarasota, Bradenton and Manatee County areas. As the CEO of Novelty Pulmonary Care, she brings her expertise and compassion to help people breathe better and live healthier lives.

Dr. Ramos Chaves provides hospital-based care and advanced procedures for patients at Manatee Memorial Hospital. She also sees patients with chronic lung conditions at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, helping them through their recovery journey with personalized care.

She earned her medical degree from Iberoamerican University (UNIBE), completed her internal medicine residency with Florida State University at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and went on to complete her fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.

When she's not taking care of patients, Dr.Ramos Chaves loves spending time at the beach, staying active with sports, and relaxing with her two dogs. She’s passionate about giving back to the community and is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of her patients every day.
